So much to think about when selecting your own skydiving equipment, and often the toughest is your first set because you have the least amount of knowledge and experience to make the best decision. Try asking around your DZ about what type of equipment you should buy and listen to the wide range of answers..... often it is whatever someone has for sale, regardless if it's the best for you or not.
Some jumpers will only buy new equipment because that's what they want. Others will try and purchase something in good used condition, with the idea that they can save on gear rental costs while gaining experience, so they will know exactly what they want when purchasing something new at a later date.
At Flying High, we spend the time necessary so our customers have the information they need in order to be able to purchase the best gear for their wants/needs, discipline, experience level, weight, DZ elevation, and any other specifics that could be classified as special needs. Our advice is always free, so if you have questions on equipment in general or in specific, please contact us. Although we don't sell a lot of used equipment, we often act as a 'middleman' between a seller and purchaser, especially where there is a long distance between the two, so that both parties can be comfortable that a transaction can be carried out in their best interests.
